Gloucester SaLT is a group of farmers, fishermen, scientists, educators, and community members passionate about increasing understanding for how food is grown and harvested from our local lands and waters.
We are a registered 501c3 organization, and we currently operate as an all-volunteer board.
Our vision is to increase access, promote education, and support professional training programs related to local food harvested from both land and sea.

Community Courses
Gloucester SaLT Community Courses offer a year’s worth of opportunities for community members to learn directly from our local farmers, fishermen, scientists, and educators. A different class is offered for free each month, with topics ranging from pollination and native planting to fish fileting and foraging, and so much more. Class sizes are limited, so don’t wait…register today!

Educational Courses
Gloucester SaLT Educational Courses are available to local school administrators who are interested in arranging a special day of learning for their students. We invite students to join us at our farms, fisheries, or marine facilities to see where their local food comes from, and try their hand at some of the tasks that help bring that food to their plates.
